Agreed, and in addition I think having staff checking fares has a good side effect of adding to perception of safety. Makes the stations feel like less of a free-for-all and more of a controlled area.

They are also much noisier and rougher riding than LRT, not a great experience for people who easily get motion sick. Also no A/C, with the exception of the newest 7000 series, but it will be another decade before the whole fleet has it and buses shed their reputation of being hot in the summer.

I think it adds about 5 minutes, as it has to do a loop through the whole area: The few times I've been on 747 there were lots of people getting on in that loop, but why not have those riders use the on-demand shuttle to go to their airport and board 747 there? They are most likely waiting...

Looks just like the elevations to me. I think the only changes from the renders back in 2021 is the top edge windows are removed from the side of the building, and a bit shorter on the front face. Cantilevers look smaller too.

I was talking to one of the staff at Revolution about it and he said a developer had plans to do a big mixed-used building on the shopping centre site at 149th, but not for another 10 years or so.

Damn I was thinking of voting for him based on his "free parking downtown evenings & weekends" idea. But this is a dealbreaker I think.

Anyone know why the windows were replaced? I think I liked the old look better, the white windows are busy and distracting from the brickwork and the building overall. Maybe it will grow on me.

Construction fencing went down about a month ago, and then was put back up about a week ago. ATL Construction sign is gone and now they have this banner up. I guess they are called "E Studio" now instead of Yi Studio like it says on the permit sign? Maybe the banner guy misheard it over the phone 😂
