The edge of St Albert is a bad spot for 2 15-20 story towers. Dense housing is great but only in environments that suite it.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I haven’t heard much in a while, but last I had heard they were at or ahead of schedule, the weather the last year has also been as relatively ideal as it could for construction in Edmonton. It would be pretty shocking if all of a sudden there was a 2 year delay. The only thing I could think of...

    The Edmonton Elks - CFL

If that’s their big plan to save the team then they are in trouble

Hopefully the new group focuses on affordability for fans and getting a winning team on the field.

    Stationlands Residential Towers | 90m | 25s | Qualico | DIALOG

I was under the impression that is wasn't much of a serious building proposal and more of a rezone and resell, could be wrong though. I am pretty sure though that the proposed design is a fairly generic design (as in not made specific for the proposal) as I remember it being a downloadable asset...

I usually agree, but that old knoxvilles building is worse than an empty lot

Canadian cities have been building more high rise apartments than American cities relative to size for decades. IMO it's one of the biggest differences between Canadian and American cities.

    Town of Jasper Updates

keep in mind that the official parks social media put out a response to this map saying that it was actually being used by fire crews but is not necessarily accurate or a true representation. But if there is any truth to this map then it looks like the south west half of the town is essentially...

North side of the tower, It looked like grey finished panels similar to the station lands building. I was going by in a car a block away so I didn't get the best view, but i'm guessing that the lack of pictures means I was just seeing things haha.

When I drove by I saw it looked like there was cladding installed on parts of the tower, does anyone have a picture of it? Or was I imagining things?

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

When people complain about lack of parking they are almost always just complaining about lack of free parking.

It honestly fits in pretty nicely when viewed from across the river

    Edmonton's Population

I've come across lots of people in my work from Calgary and even further like Vancouver or Toronto looking for stuff for their new properties here, the concerning thing though in my opinion is that I haven't met many that are planning to live here but instead just add to their real estate...

But nothing about form or function, the fact that it has little set back from the road, little to no surface parking lot?

    Edmonton Branding and Tourism strategy

Maybe this is a dumb take, but I've always thought that Edmonton should try and develop a sort of reverse snowbird tourism strategy. Our summers -- if there's no smoke -- are super nice and the city is affordable relative to major cities, and I'm sure there are lots of people in the sunbelt that...
