They’ve been working on it for quite a while now, the exterior is getting a completely new look, it looked good before but the completed sections look great now!

    The Mercury Block | 21.7m | 6s

As much as I hate to say it, the retail and restaurant market is so tough these days that the few lost customers from not having free parking can be killer to good businesses, especially in Edmonton where 90%+ of the city is car centric. 124th is on its way but there still aren't enough locals...

Wouldn’t have guessed that a flooring showroom would have interest in the space

It’s a very Edmonton thing to complain about how bad the bar/club/nightlife scene is in the city while also almost never going to any of the great establishments we have and supporting the scene so it can grow.

This needs to be the year some of the larger apartment/condo projects gets underway.

    Blatchford

It’s pretty tough to compare Calgarys university district to Blatchford when Calgarys is anchored by a major university and Blatchford is anchored by a commuter college and a shopping mall.

    Blatchford

There’s definitely a difference between what people want in the inner city versus out in the suburbs, but the decent success of the more expensive and more traditional townhomes in Blatchford sort of suggests it’s the design of streetside rather than the neighbourhood itself. If Blatchford is...

    Blatchford

I drove by today, going back a bit in the thread there was lots of concern about the Streetside development selling poorly, I don't think that's a reflection on the neighborhood at all but rather on the fact that they seem like awful town homes. The whole appeal of a town home is that they are a...

    Hat @ Old Strathcona | 66.14m | 20s | Cidex Group

I actually don’t know, I’m just going off of the big “now renting” banners that were still up on the building when I drove by last week

Lol there already is a Hat in the Quarters that they’re still aggressively trying to rent out. I don’t think they’re going back there anytime soon.

Build a stadium, but build a reasonable one.

If anyone is wasting their money on a stadium that big I really hope there's no tax money involved.

If the fan park develops into something more permanent looking rather than an empty lot, and the gravel lots on the NE and SE corners of that intersection are developed then I think it could be great! It’s just that the intersection has nothing on it on 3/4 corners and it should be on of our...
