    Bateman Lands Mid-Rise | 34m | 8s | Bateman Properties | Next Architecture

I’ve never really looked at the costs of these lots before but is 4.4 million a good price? I always thought they were higher.

    10308 116 Street | ?m | ?s | Leston Holdings | Arc Studio

Its perfect except for the plastic "puck board" panel finish IMO

    Altairus | 23m | 6s

Just drove by, wood paneling could have saved it, but unfortunately the plastic fake wood they are putting up in that spot looks bad.

124 Street BIA / Westmount General Discussion

Papa Johns is moving in to the little strip mall on 107th with South Islands Pies.

    The Jameson | 53.95m | 17s | Open Sky | Acton Ostry

over 3 years of the pit being abandoned and almost 4 years since they broke ground, I really wish the city had tools to make it financially punishing to do this to a neighbourhood.

    Brewery District | DIALOG

Brewsters food is very take it or leave it, but their peach ale is sooooo good. But I agree that would be a great spot for one of the bigger micro breweries in the city

    Brewery District | DIALOG

Technically Unity Square, but Brewsters is moving out of their huge brewpub space along 116th and taking over Beer Revolution (Brewsters owns beer rev). I’d imagine Brewsters doesn’t need the brewing set up since most of their brewing is in Calgary, but that space will be an interesting...

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

In previous work I did I met tons of people visiting from Tor, Van, Cal that were here for their investment condos. Maybe it’s purely anecdotal and just correlation, but the housing stall in the big markets is lining up with the fact that there’s no housing over 6 stories currently going up in...

    Edmonton Branding and Tourism strategy

He had some really encouraging things to say about the city. Definitely some of the best free PR Edmonton's gotten in a while!

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

Maybe, just maybe its not the fault of SJW's that downtown has a lot of social issues, and more the fact that both sides of the political aisle aren't taking any significant steps in proactively and re-actively addressing the growing homelessness population and subsequent increase in addiction...

    The Jameson | 53.95m | 17s | Open Sky | Acton Ostry

If Edmonton can have fines for not mowing your lawn, they should have massive fines for stagnant pits.

    Oliver Exchange | ?m | 2s | Beljan Development | Hodgson Schilf Evans

I stop by OEX almost everyday, just noticed for the first time the whole back area behind OEX2. The 3rd back building looks like an unused food space with rooftop patio? Also a cheese shop is coming to the back of the building.

    Stationlands Residential Towers | 90m | 25s | Qualico | DIALOG

Like you said, condos are more affordable here. So if a developer can't start their pricing at $500k and up for small 1 bedroom condos like in the other major Canadian cities they aren't going to build to the same extent. It's not about building homes it's about making money.

Banquet is so hidden on that second floor that they've been doomed to fail since day 1.

Spruce Grove Metro Ballpark | ?m | ?s | Gold Sports And Entertainment

Is that pic from today? If so it almost seems irresponsible to tell people it will be ready in a month

    Riverbank Landing | 50m | 15s | Boudreau Communities | Arc Studio

Both are topped out, so unless i'm forgetting one i'm pretty sure the only thing going up in the region that's going to be over 6 stories is the Hat @ St. Albert?

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I walk across the construction every day for work and almost daily there is visible progress, so it still is complete guess work to say that they could be at 50-55% by the end of the season, but the speed of work this season compared to last is noticeably faster and that doesn’t seem like an...

    Lotus Park | 20.2m | 6s | Westrich Pacific | J+S Architect

No underground parking significantly reduces the cost per unit, I wonder how successful this will be at renting out, if downtown is ready for more parking free projects we should see a lot more projects being built.

    The Jameson | 53.95m | 17s | Open Sky | Acton Ostry

Can confirm there are no more for sale signs on site. One of the defaced Jameson signs is still up. The site to the north still has a sale sign.

    Lewis Farms Community Recreation Centre | ?m | ?s | Saucier + Perrotte

Canada's investment in hockey over the last century has made us pretty good at building large indoor sports and recreation facilities nationwide. Edmonton has great rec centres, but even small towns in Canada will often have great facilities.
