They did. I believe they even installed the services to the pad site and then the deal died. It was before Covid, like 2019 or so. I also believe The Keg was close to a deal in Manulife Place prior to Covid.

Beljan is behind this project and the tenant is a fitness studio. So it will be done well, but don't expect too much change to the exterior other than a refresh/modernization.

Great to see this building repositioned. It takes up a large frontage along Whyte and it will be nice to see this re-activated.

TBH, I don't think their location was the best. He likely would have found better success with 'prime' frontage on Whyte or somewhere on 124 Street. WEM's impact, WTF does that even mean? A 'mega' mall like most other large cities have. I don't buy that argument anymore.
