    Commuter & Regional Rail

This is worth clarifying, as the ERRS was able to construct an extension to the line quite recently. Even if they don't own the ROW, it seems like they manage it on behalf of whoever does.

    Commuter & Regional Rail

I've suggested this before (albeit for Centre LRT and Whyte BRT public engagement) but it's a non-starter. The ERRS is heavily opposed to any other use of the corridor, several of their members post on this forum and can attest to it.

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Even further down the line, there's the Urban Planning Committee in May when the BRT plan is supposed to be unveiled. The B1 route (Century Park - Downtown - Castle Downs) has significant overlaps with the Airport-Downtown service, so the two have to be considered in tandem.

    Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

It's too bad there isn't a siding like with DL MacDonald where trains can make an unannounced stop for staff looking to get on/off there.

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

With the 4 / B2, it could be a quick win to implement something like what Vancouver had on Broadway with the 9 / B99 combo. On the other hand, the City might be aiming for something more substantial like Calgary's Max Purple, with dedicated BRT lanes and more substantial stops. That being...

    Valley Line LRT/ Valley Line West | ?m | ?s | City of Edmonton

ETS has not released any ridership figures lately, and what reporting they have has been inconsistent since the start of the pandemic. It's one of their weaker points when compared to other peer agencies, for which data can be found quite readily.

    Mill Woods Town Centre Redevelopment | ?m | ?s

Somewhat off-topic, but the updated ARP also shows a planned redevelopment of Mill Woods Mainstreet (the mall north of 28 Ave). I hadn't noticed it before, but has anything official ever been announced?

Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in Edmonton

Given that Council has voted down first the EMTSC and then the airport bus service expansion, should people expect a three-peat with the proposed BRT network?

    Municipal Politics

https://globalnews.ca/news/10284646/city-edmonton-employees-union-strike-lockout/ This could be a long and protracted strike / lock-out as neither side seems to be willing to budge.

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Really? Saying that Administration is misleading Council on the basis of obviousness? That is very much conspiracy theory absent actual, smoking gun evidence to back it up. I suggest you go to a public Council hearing or write to your Councillor and tell them, to their face, about it then...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Can we not speculate on Administration misleading or biasing information to Council? It's conspiracy talk that only serves to undermine trust in the policy-making process. For what it's worth, I think this decision was foreshadowed by EMTSC: The City is in full austerity mode now and looking...

    LRT Expansion Planning

Well Central LRT was absolutely going to happen until it didn't, so I think anything that is not actually under construction is just a potential extension. I'm guessing there's been design work actually done for the former two, but I still find it misleading as it blends the constructed and...

    LRT Expansion Planning

https://www.edmonton.ca/sites/default/files/public-files/assets/transit/LRT-Network-Map.pdf The network map has finally been updated to remove Central LRT -- bummer. Strange that Gorman and Ellerslie are listed as 'potential' extensions whereas Metro NW and Capital S are not. No mention of...

    103 Avenue Civic Precinct Renewal

Valley Line Southeast redid the section between 102 and 102A Ave, but the section north to City Hall is orphaned. Maybe it's part of the Civic Precinct renovations.

    Terwillegar Drive Expansion

Well that's a shame then. In the Feb 4 "patch notes" it was noted that there would be peak hour service cuts, and comparing the route schedules it does look like a couple trips were trimmed.

    LRT Expansion Planning

Keep in mind there's the ghost station as well, which 95 St would be too close to.

Not sure if it's because of construction or low demand, doesn't bode well if it's the latter....
