    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

West jet is shutting down Swoop. I don’t think there’s much impact to YEG as some of those flights from Swoop is already transferred to Westjet a few months ago. Swoop only has a few destinations out of YEG now compared to 20 destinations at the peak if I remember correctly...

    Stantec Tower | 250.84m | 66s | ICE District Prop.

I thought it was city council (city admin?) that voted it down because they didn’t want that huge “advertisement screen” on the top. I don’t understand what the huge problem with having a big logo on the top. A lot of buildings have logo on the top. They should have at least kept the light on...

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

I should have been clearer…you can see the “cut-out/indented” part of the concrete on each floor. The part that looks “indented” is where the glass will go. The part that sticks out would be the balconies, If that makes sense.

    Falcon Towers | 170m | 44s | Langham Developments | Arc Studio

It looks like you can already see where that strip of glass is going to go. it doesn’t look that wide, I was hoping to see more of it…

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Just went to Edmonton airport Wikipedia page and found out that Swoop is pretty much cutting all Canadian destinations out of YEG. Checked on Swoop's website and it does appear to be like that. Wondering what Swoop is doing? Are they folding Swoop up? The fact that YEG-YYZ is getting cut is...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Looks like AC is changing their to not compete directly with Westjet but intentionally routing people from SK to their 3 hubs. https://www.cjme.com/2022/12/06/air-canada-suspending-flights-to-calgary-out-of-saskatchewan-in-2023/

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

If you go to their website and look at their current network map, they have removed quite a bit of destinations from Edmonton . Off the top of my head, they included Los Angeles/Burbank, San Francisco, San Diego, Nashville, Comox, Kamloops, Kelowna, Comox, Saskatoon? Regina? Winnipeg and Cancun...

    Edmonton Companies News & Discussion

https://www.ualberta.ca/folio/2022/09/renewed-agreement-will-help-cultivate-next-generation-of-tech-talent.html Not a fan of this. Clearly the company knows where the talent is but they want to funnel them down to Calgary. I bet the conservatives pushed for this.

    East Junction | 86m | 25s | Regency Developments | DER + Associates

I hope Regency go bankrupt so they can’t build any more of these nasty things….

    Stationlands Residential Towers | 90m | 25s | Qualico | DIALOG

This just posted today from Qualico. Both towers will be constructed. “In February 2022, construction began on phase two, which will feature two of six planned mixed-use apartment buildings designated for the site. The first two residential buildings will contain more than 600 apartment units...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

777 Partners orders 66 Boeing 737 Max's and some will be going to Flair. I wonder how many are actually going to Flair as that was one of the major concerns with Canadian Transportation Agency. Nonetheless, they seem to be on target with acheiving their "F50" goal, having 50 planes by 2025. They...

    West Edmonton Mall

Looks like Kering Group will be opening Balenciaga at WEM later this year. Kering Group must be happy with the sales at YSL and Gucci that they're opening up more at WEM. Information found halfway through this article...

    Edmonton International Airport (EIA/YEG)

Anybody know what this could be? From the picture it says Europe and Edmonton…CMA offering flights to Europe? They don’t have large planes with the range unless they’re announcing that they acquired planes that could fly that far on June 20…?

    Downtown Real Estate

I really hope they reclad the building like the 360 main in Winnipeg. It would make the south view more modern.

We need a local architecture school, too bad they got rid of that at the u of a. Honestly, everything that has been designed and built here in Edmonton is ugly except for Gene dub’s, mostly.

    The Parks | 146.91m | 45s | Pangman | Hariri Pontarini

Since they’re building the 12 story connector at another time, I wonder what the south face or the first tower will look like after it’s complete. As in, will it be a 12 story blank wall? It wouldn’t make sense to put any windows there when they do build the connector. Probably just be covered...

    Brewery District Towers | ?m | 17s | GWL | NORR

^I hate when they just rip sidewalks and road like this. They will most likely just fill it back with asphalt and it will look completely out of place and obvious. Yes, it's cheaper but still..

    CX | 57.91m | 21s | Beaverbrook | GEC

We need more of these products in Edmonton. Many rentals in Edmonton are built like 20 years ago if not longer and even though some are renovated, it’s just not the same. These have that “urban metro” feel lol
