West jet is shutting down Swoop. I don’t think there’s much impact to YEG as some of those flights from Swoop is already transferred to Westjet a few months ago. Swoop only has a few destinations out of YEG now compared to 20 destinations at the peak if I remember correctly...

I thought it was city council (city admin?) that voted it down because they didn’t want that huge “advertisement screen” on the top. I don’t understand what the huge problem with having a big logo on the top. A lot of buildings have logo on the top. They should have at least kept the light on...

I should have been clearer…you can see the “cut-out/indented” part of the concrete on each floor. The part that looks “indented” is where the glass will go. The part that sticks out would be the balconies, If that makes sense.

If you go to their website and look at their current network map, they have removed quite a bit of destinations from Edmonton . Off the top of my head, they included Los Angeles/Burbank, San Francisco, San Diego, Nashville, Comox, Kamloops, Kelowna, Comox, Saskatoon? Regina? Winnipeg and Cancun...

Since they’re building the 12 story connector at another time, I wonder what the south face or the first tower will look like after it’s complete. As in, will it be a 12 story blank wall? It wouldn’t make sense to put any windows there when they do build the connector. Probably just be covered...

We need more of these products in Edmonton. Many rentals in Edmonton are built like 20 years ago if not longer and even though some are renovated, it’s just not the same. These have that “urban metro” feel lol
