Is there one of those light up No Right Turn Train signs there? I drive through there almost every day and I don't remember now. I don't think there is as SB traffic can't go when there is a train either so I'm thinking it's just a red light.

A whole lot of incompetence it seems

The stations can't handle longer trains, nor can the city blocks downtown. What do they mean by larger trains? Are the Valley line West trains going to be that much heavier?

They quit using Calcium Chloride (Brine) in the city, however they are more often than not dumping pure road salt on the roads. You'll see the pink stuff where a truck has stopped and hasn't turned off the feeder fully - that's road salt. They used to use more gravel than salt back in the day...

They just put more scaffolding and tarps up in the last week around the two piers between Argyll and Coronet roads so why not just address this issue near the station too? Makes no sense, but I've stopped trying to apply logic to how Transed operates.

It's interesting in the article Transed says they have to wait for warmer weather to epoxy the cracks - it's warmer weather going to bring melting snow, which leads to water ingress into said cracks, and then a bunch of freeze thaw cycles. Isn't that just going to lead to more cracking and spalling?

I have a hard time believing a word Transed says. How many piers had structural issues originally according to them? It was 8 wasn't it? then ended up like 38? Let's not count their promised opening dates too that have come nad went numerous times.

Snow removal all down 83 street is a gong show too. There is no where to put the snow from the road - push it to the right and it's on the sidewalks, push it to the left and it's in the right away. Don't get me started on all the landscaping that's going to have to be replaced every year...

The two pillars south of Argyll have had hoarding erected around them in the last week. Wonder if those are cracked again too? There was also a concrete saw being run inside some hoarding on the north side of Argyll too yesterday when I was driving home. How long before Transed actually...

That could explain the elevated section being closed again, but why are they still working between Avonmore and Strathern? That has been open the whole time and they have been testing trains on it.

Signals appear to be staying on in Millwoods from my last ventures along the line - unless there was a train in the vicinity I didn't see. Noted the following on my way home from work yesterday: Boom lift at Strathern substation - these spent a lot of time around Bonnie Doon late oct/early...

I'm glad someone else has noticed this as well. Driving along most of the line every day and seeing the various activities makes me wonder if they would have met their summer 2022 opening time if the piers weren't to blame. It seems with transed they pick the biggest issue and blame it for...

After months of no trains on the Millwoods portion of the line 1006 and 1013 were in the Woodvale/38 Ave station this morning. This afternoon they were parked north of the station this afternoon on the way home from work. Hopefully they might finally have the signaling issues and whatever else...

There was such a hole in the middle of that intersection - it would have been cheaper to just put in a storm drain I think. I'd wager the sidewalk was 6 inches lower at the median than it was at the curb. After all the time they spent trying to figure out how to make the NB and SB lanes of 66...

Looks like the tracks are shut down between the top of connors hill and Bonnie Doon now. Barricades in place at the top of the hill along with a stop sign and a ground cables. There was 2 2 car trains sitting at the top of the hill today on my way home from work. Grounding cables in place at...

I don't think I'd be so hard on them if they were actual truthful about the delays. I live 4 blocks from the line and have watched the stuff they constantly screwed up, yet the concrete in the river was always the cause of the delay. If they didn't have the concrete in the river and the bridge...

That reddit thread has a few people that have worked on the project chiming in. Seems like quite the dumpster fire. We've seen some of it in person down here in Millwoods, but WOW!

1023 was all the way down at the Avonmore station on my way home from work yesterday. It was northbound on the southbound tracks.
