Opening date of the new London Drugs is August 15th. Also spotted a future H&M location behind the curtain on the main level, which opens this winter according to the Southgate website.
Happened to be digging through the archives and thought about this thread. Here is how the park looked with a lot more vegetation. Can see construction of both Icon and the Cecil-replacement. July 13, 2007.
Only took less than 18 days for some drivers to have a mishap (or two) at 110st.

Haven't seen a post for this yet, but the Ada Blvd. bridge over Gretzky has re-opened!
Most of the crew are now working on Ada Blvd. and the MUP east of the fork down to Capilano pedestrian bridge. The roadway between Gretzky/Capilano Ped. Bridge was not quite finished when I was there Saturday...
Jasper Ave between 82 street and 102a Ave would benefit hugely from a nice wide well-used MUP to connect to the Oliverbahn/102Ave/102a Ave bike lanes.
I've got a coworker that lives around 84 street that would bike to work along either 105 Ave or 102 Ave further west, but she doesn't feel safe...
Apparently a nearby retailer with a long history in this neighbourhood on 51 ave will be moving into some new digs within the former Sears space. They've been looking for over 15 years at an opportunity to get in on the Southgate site, and now it is open and available. 🥳
