Disappointing, but unsurprising. Conservative Christian groups have been telling their followers who to vote for since, well forever. Nothing new under the sun in the province that elected Bible Bill.
So much work to be done for those two. Smith researching how to interfere in matters of justice while not appearing to do so, and Johnson brushing up on her 'imprecise' language skills.
This a quite a strange election for Alberta. We don't see too many actually competitive two-way left vs. right races (with no vote splitting left or right). 1993 is the only one I can remember. And even that one was still a pretty easy win for Klein.
This will be a very close race. Polling seems to be shifting in NDP favour.
I remember a few weeks back thinking that this would be the UCP's race to lose, that may well happen.

I say if they're going to be building new bridge structures there anyways, they may as well build a proper semi-directional T interchange.
Do it right.
I was really disappointed when the South extension was prioritized over the Metro extension, but I do understand the reasons.
At this point, I'm just hoping the line makes it to Campbell Road before I hit retirement age, and my wife and I can live with one car from that point on.
Fingers crossed that we don't have another fiasco on our hands. It really shouldn't be like the Metro Line, there is no patchwork signalling system layovers, and no heavy rail infrastructure gates, lights and bells.
Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
