if thats the case there needs to be a ribbon cutting and champagne popping lol I remember my friend telling me that when the capital line got extended in 2009/2010, there were a bunch of families just riding it for fun back and forth, ill probably do the same.

Yep & a lot of people want to check out Edmonton’s 1st elevated Davies LRT Station when it opens too. As I heard it has an okay view towards Downtown Edmonton (if) I’m not mistaken.

I think this is just for utilities relocation and other prep work before the main LRT construction begins. When that will happen, who knows.

Was told yesterday that Testing could be finished as early as Thursday. Then its just the paper work and the COE signing off on it.

I don't know how you heard that, but if you know the person, would you be able to follow up with them to see if that happened? When testing does wrap up, I wonder when they'll announce next steps.

A few months ago I had heard a late July/early August start is possible if things go well so I think that jives with what Airboy has heard.

I saw something on Global News about a potential announcement about the Valley Line LRT around June 23.

Anyone know of updates on this? It just happens to line up with the rumored testing completion date,

I'm still sticking with my Sept 1st opening date prediction, but I could see this turning into a mid to late August launch date so they have a week or 2 to work out any kinks before school season starts

Trapped worker rescued from elevated LRT platform near West Edmonton Mall

A construction worker was rushed to hospital Friday morning after part of an LRT platform structure fell on him in west Edmonton.
